I was a newspaper reporter (and sometimes wacky columnist) for about 30 years. For the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bucks County (PA) Intelligencer Record, Allentown Morning Call and Columbus Dispatch. I covered a little bit of everything and had the opportunity to meet and interview thousands of people, some of whom were quite interesting. I’ve also written for several magazines, have even published a couple of books and taught journalism at a couple of colleges.
I’m a freelance, web-content provider, which is a real thing. And, what with being a freelancer, I have some free time on my hands, and decided to do a wacky, funny blog. No editors. No deadlines. Nobody to tell me what I can write about and what I can’t write about. No copy editors to clean up my copy and correct my mistakes (uh-oh).
Finally, I’m free!
I’m also a bit of an obsessive cyclist, love Seinfeld, movies and TV, food (cooking it, and eating it), travelling, raising money for cancer research, craft beer and fine wine and taking photos of my wife (Susan) doing headstands all over the world. You’ll see these topics pop up from time to time on More Stuff.
